Since 27 June 2024, HHC has been covered by the German New Psychoactive Substances Act (NpSG), and trading and shipping it in Germany has been prohibited since then. Instead, on this page you will find aroma gummies from our current range. They are declared as aroma and collector items and are not intended for consumption. What were HHC gummy bears?
HHC stands for hexahydrocannabinol. In the hemp plant, the substance occurs in trace amounts at most. For retail, it was produced in a laboratory, usually from CBD that was chemically converted and then modified with hydrogen. This is why HHC is a semi-synthetic cannabinoid and not an industrial hemp product.
HHC gummies were fruit gummies with this distillate added. They were sold in bags of several pieces with a total amount in milligrams. In addition to HHC, there were also gummies with HHC-P, which have also disappeared from the market.
Why HHC gummies are no longer sold
The NpSG does not list individual trade names but describes groups of substances. The Fifth Ordinance amending the Annex was announced on 26 June 2024 and came into force the following day. It added a group that covers all compounds derived from 6H-benzo(c)chromen-1-ol, regardless of how strongly the ring is hydrogenated, and with side chains of up to twelve carbon atoms. HHC and HHC-P have exactly this structure. You can read this in Annex 1 of the NpSG under number 2.3.
Since that date, we no longer sell HHC gummies or any other HHC products.
What the ban means for possession and purchase
The following only reflects the text of the law and does not replace legal advice. For substances in Annex 1, Section 3 NpSG prohibits trading, manufacturing, bringing them into Germany, acquiring and possessing them. Under Section 4, trading, supplying to others and manufacturing or importing in order to pass the substance on are criminal offences. Police and customs can seize such products and have them destroyed. For questions about your specific case, a lawyer is the right person to ask.

What to watch out for with offers of HHC gummies
HHC gummies are still being offered, often through foreign shops, marketplaces or messengers. These points should make you suspicious:
- The offer calls HHC gummies "legal", even though HHC has been covered by the NpSG since June 2024.
- The pack does not show the exact name of the substance or the amount per piece.
- There is no legal notice and no recognisable manufacturer.
- The goods come from abroad. Section 3 NpSG also prohibits bringing them into Germany.
Another problem is the risk of confusion. Fruit gummies with an active compound look like normal sweets and can easily end up with children. For this reason, keep anything that looks like gummy bears out of reach of children and pets, including our aroma gummies.
Can HHC gummies be detected in a drug test?
There is no general answer to this. Rapid tests are designed for THC, and whether they react to HHC depends on the individual test. Laboratories, on the other hand, can look specifically for HHC and its breakdown products. So do not assume that HHC will go undetected.
