Looking for HHC liquid? We no longer sell it. Since 27 June 2024, HHC has been covered by the German New Psychoactive Substances Act (NpSG), and trading and shipping it in Germany has been prohibited since then. The items you see on this page belong to our current range with other active compounds. Which substance each one contains is stated in the product name and on the product page.

What was HHC liquid?

HHC stands for hexahydrocannabinol. The substance occurs in the hemp plant in trace amounts at most. What was sold was produced in a laboratory: THC-like material is first obtained from CBD and then modified with hydrogen. This makes HHC a semi-synthetic cannabinoid and not an industrial hemp product.

HHC liquid was sold in bottles of 10 ml or more, in which HHC distillate was mixed with a carrier liquid and terpenes. They were intended for e-cigarettes and cartridges. There were also variants such as HHC-P, which are also no longer available.

Why HHC liquid is no longer sold

The NpSG works with groups of substances instead of individual names. The Fifth Ordinance amending the Annex to the Act, announced on 26 June 2024 and in force from the following day, added a new group: compounds derived from 6H-benzo(c)chromen-1-ol. The group covers this basic structure regardless of how strongly the ring is hydrogenated, and with side chains of up to twelve carbon atoms. HHC, HHC-P and THCP have exactly this structure. You will find the wording in Annex 1 of the NpSG under number 2.3.

For this reason, since 27 June 2024 we no longer carry HHC liquid or any other HHC products.

What the ban means for possession and purchase

This section only covers the text of the law and is not legal advice. For substances in Annex 1, Section 3 NpSG prohibits trading, manufacturing, bringing them into Germany, acquiring and possessing them. Section 4 makes trading, supplying to others and manufacturing or importing for resale a criminal offence. Authorities and customs can seize such substances and have them destroyed, including for orders from abroad. Not every strain is always in stock, and stock changes especially often for liquids. The following also applies to the new cannabinoids: nobody can promise that they will remain permitted. The NpSG has been amended several times since 2024, most recently in January 2026.

What to watch out for with offers of HHC liquid

Shops offering HHC liquid keep appearing online, often through foreign websites, messengers or marketplaces. A few warning signs:

• The shop advertises with "legal" or "legally safe", even though HHC has been listed in the Annex of the NpSG since June 2024.
• There is no legal notice, no manufacturer or no clear statement of which substance is in the bottle.
• New abbreviations are advertised as a replacement without any explanation of what they are chemically. Variations can fall under the same group of substances.
• The parcel is shipped from abroad. Bringing such substances into Germany is also prohibited under Section 3 NpSG.

With offers like these, you know neither what is really in the liquid nor whether the parcel will be held at customs.

Can HHC be detected in a drug test?

There is no simple answer. Rapid tests for THC are not designed for HHC, and whether they react depends on the test. Laboratory analyses, on the other hand, can look specifically for HHC and its breakdown products. For this reason, do not rely on HHC going undetected. This also applies to road traffic: after contact with psychoactive substances, you do not drive and you do not operate machinery.
